About the Owners

William and Heather Wright own Fish Window Cleaning across the street from the original 1930's Joliet Airport. William has spent most of his professional life designing American made products for various industries. As a Chicago-land native, he wants to take that same drive of American work and ingenuity and expand into the window and gutter cleaning industries by hiring local people.

Heather has also lived all her life in Illinois and has the same dreams as her husband - provide quality work with an American workforce. In addition to helping run Fish Window Cleaning, Heather works full time as a civil servant for Illinois.

Their goal is to provide a high-quality service for the community by providing a means for locals to earn a living, completely exemplifying the Fish motto of "Brighten Your World."

 Fish Window Cleaning has grown to be the world's largest window cleaning company with more than 270 franchise territories in 45 states, yet we still maintain the traditional values we were founded on. We will always treat every customer as though they are our only customer.

Mike Merrick founded Fish Window Cleaning in January 1978. Based on growing demand and his success, Mike realized there was a need for this service in other markets. He used his 20 years of experience to create the Fish Window Cleaning franchise system. In 1998, the first FISH franchise opened in Tampa, FL.
