Removing Water Spots on Windows: How to Fix & PreventPosted on Wednesday, August 14th 2024
In many areas of the country, homeowners and business owners use hard water for bathing, cooking, and cleaning. Hard water has a high mineral content of magnesium and calcium. When filtered and treated, this type of water is drinkable and potable. When using hard water on surfaces like glass (your windows, for example) and it evaporates, the minerals it contains are left behind to dry and harden. The spots are not very noticeable and are typically easy to remove at first. However, if left unattended, the deposits build up a thick whitish glaze, and the sun will bake these spots onto the glass. This makes removing water spots on windows more difficult.
